NAPPI, Michael M., 84, a Maywood resident for 46 yrs., died peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2012 surrounded by his family. Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY, at the age of 3 months old he and his family moved back to Italy where he lived and studied. He received a Doctorate Degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Naples in Italy and when he returned to the United States he attended & graduated from Seton Hall University with a teacher’s certification to teach French and Italian. He was a teacher for the Lyndhurst Board of Education for 20yrs, after retiring in 1981 he continued his love for teaching by being a substitute teacher for the Hackensack Board of Education. Michael proudly served as a translator for the United States Armed Forces. Devoted husband of 60 years to the late Raffaela (nee Rainone). Loving father of Rose Holz and her husband, Jeff, Annie Pacciani and her husband, Piero and Laura Nappi. Beloved Poppy of Nicole, Cristina, Claudia, Jacqueline, Michele, Michael and Petey. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave, Maywood on Wed. at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace at 9:30AM.
